The Pittsburgh Penguins apparently aren't giving up in their pursuit of Jason Robertson.
Robertson, the star winger from the Dallas Stars, is a restricted free agent and set to go to salary arbitration with his current team.
The Athletic's Josh Yohe, though, suggests that Robertson could still end up with the Penguins.
In a podcast appearance by Yohe, summed up by hockey analyst Matt Meaghar, Yohe made it quite clear Pittsburgh doesn't believe it's out of the picture here:

Robertson is a franchise-changing player, if the Penguins end up being able to pull off a deal.
They'd likely sign him to a long-term extension immediately, and they'd have their next star to help bridge beyond the Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and Kris Letang era.
Robertson put up 45 goals and 51 assists last season for the Dallas Stars, so this isn't speculating on potential. He's already one of the most impactful forwards in hockey.
The Stars might not want to lose that, but their salary cap situation makes things very tough. The Penguins will be looming, and they've still got a chance.
