Now it's official, though: Guerschon Yabusele is leaving the NBA.

The big fella is signing a three-year contract with Panathinaikos in Greece, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype:

The 2025-26 season didn't go the way Yabusele would've wanted it to go.

He had just returned from overseas the season before, and he carved out a really useful role with the Philadelphia 76ers.

That earned him a free agent contract with the New York Knicks, but that fit didn't work at all, and he was traded in the middle of the season to the Bulls.

Yabusele did average 10 points per game in 26 games with Chicago, and it's clear he can still be an NBA contributor if called upon.

This path makes sense given the way Yabusele starred in Europe before returning to the NBA to play for the 'Sixers.

He was the No. 16 overall pick by the Boston Celtics all the way back in 2016, but he was a bust then who had to head overseas to find his stride.

He found it by the 2024 Olympics with France, and he seemed to keep it up with the 76ers.

Yabusele couldn't continue it last season, and so now the Frenchman is heading to Greece to try to turn it around.
