HURL signs MoU for high-mast lights in Deoria

Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Human Upliftment Mission for the installation of 13 LED high-mast lights in the Pathardeva Assembly Constituency of Deoria district in Uttar Pradesh.The MoU was signed at the HURL Head Office in New Delhi in the presence of Dr. S. P. Mohanty, Managing Director, HURL.Under the initiative, energy-efficient LED high-mast lights will be installed at key locations across Pathardeva, Desahi Deoria, Baitalpur, Tarkulwa and Gauribazar Blocks. The locations will include important rural intersections, market hubs and community gathering areas.The project is aimed at improving illumination in public spaces and strengthening road and public safety, particularly at locations witnessing regular movement of residents and vehicles. Better lighting is also expected to enhance security and make public spaces more accessible after dark.Besides improving safety, the lighting infrastructure is expected to support local economic activity by providing better illumination around markets and other community spaces. The project will also contribute to strengthening basic infrastructure in rural areas of the constituency.The use of energy-efficient LED technology is intended to provide effective illumination while ensuring greater energy efficiency.HURL said its development initiatives are focused not merely on creating infrastructure but also on making public spaces safer, enabling communities and improving people's everyday lives.
