Building competitive and resilient enterprises will require continuous innovation, technology adoption, stronger industry-government collaboration, and focused support for MSMEs, said Mr Milon Nag, Deputy Chairman, CII Western Region, and Chairman & Managing Director, K K Nag Pvt Ltd, at an industry meet organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) .
The programme brought together CII leaders and industry entrepreneurs to discuss strengthening the industrial ecosystem and enhancing industry competitiveness amid evolving market, technology, and regulatory landscapes.

Addressing the gathering, Mr Nag emphasised that enterprises must continuously innovate, adapt to changing market needs, and embrace technology to remain competitive and future-ready.
Mr Nag underscored the need for stronger and more structured industry-government engagement to ensure policies are aligned with business realities and implementation challenges. He also highlighted CII's network of 13 Centres of Excellence, which support industry through research, capacity building, productivity enhancement, skills development, and technology adoption.
Highlighting priorities for MSMEs, he stressed the importance of improving supply-chain competitiveness, accelerating digital transformation, upskilling the workforce, and preparing for a sustainable, net-zero future. He also called for collaborative efforts to simplify regulations, strengthen digital governance, and improve ease of doing business.
Earlier, Mr Anup Parashar, Chairman, CII Thane Zonal Council and Director-Corporate Affairs, Raymond Lifestyle Ltd, outlined the Council's priorities, including strengthening supply-chain integration, infrastructure and logistics development, and industry-academia collaboration to address emerging skill requirements. He noted that projects such as the upcoming Vadhavan Port are expected to create significant economic and logistics opportunities for the region.
Mr Parashar said the Council would continue to provide platforms for dialogue, knowledge sharing, and policy advocacy, with a focus on MSME development, sustainability, skill development, and Ease of Doing Business.
The discussions reinforced the importance of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning in building future-ready enterprises. CII reaffirmed its commitment to supporting industry and contributing to India's vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 through sustainable and inclusive growth.
The meet was attended by over 90 delegates, comprising CII members, non-members, representatives of industry associations, and leaders from diverse industry sectors.
