But only one of them featured a finish – and it also came in the fifth round of a Fight of the Night winner at UFC 328 at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.
That’s where Joshua Van (17-2 MMA, 10-1 UFC) defended the flyweight title as an underdog in the co-main event against Tatsuro Taira (18-2 MMA, 8-2 UFC). Taira had the clear early advantage, but Van stayed tough, stayed in it, and after a rally late in the fourth round, he took the momentum into the fifth and put the challenger away.
