The former Iowa Hawkeyes men's basketball coach has joined a rare group with Penn's win over Yale today in the Ivy League Tournament championship game to punch a ticket to the NCAA Tournament. McCaffery joins an exclusive group of coaches to have taken five teams to the NCAA Tournament, as he has done so with Lehigh, UNC Greensboro, Siena, Iowa, and now Penn.

The Penn Quakers, who looked dead in the water late in the game, rallied on the shoulders of two TJ Powers three-point makes to force overtime, where they pulled away late for an 88-84 win to secure the Ivy League Tournament championship and a date in the NCAA Tournament next weekend.

The Quakers were led by TJ Power, who put together an all-time great performance in a conference championship at any level. He led Penn with 44 points on a 14-26 shooting performance, which saw him go 7-14 from three-point range. He also reeled in 14 rebounds for the double-double.

This marks Fran McCaffery's 13th NCAA Tournament appearance at five different schools. In his first season at Penn, he has the Quakers heading to the NCAA Tournament with an 18-11 record.
