Jacobin Is International

· Jacobin

Jacobin began in the United States, but our emancipatory project has always been internationalist. The questions we’re focused on — about who holds power in our societies, about how capitalism shapes our lives, and how working people can abolish class society — extend across borders.Alongside our English-language magazine, Jacobin publishes regularly in six other languages:Dutch: Jacobin NederlandGreek: Jacobin GreeceGerman: Jacobin MagazinItalian: Jacobin ItaliaPortuguese: Jacobin Brasil, based in BrazilSpanish: Jacobin América Latina, based in ArgentinaWe’re also working on launching editions in French, Romanian, and Urdu. We’ll share more as those projects develop.Building a socialist left means learning from struggles everywhere, and it means exchanges at a more theoretical level with Marxists around the world. Our international editions play an important role in fostering those connections and combating the parochialism that has long plagued progressive milieus in the United States. If you read any of these languages, take a look at the editions linked above. And if you know someone who might be interested, send one their way. And if you’d like to support our work coordinating these networks, please consider subscribing or visiting jacobin.com/donate/ to learn about tax-deductible donations to our project. This article originally appeared in Jacobin, a democratic socialist magazine publishing long-form essays and analysis on politics, economics, and culture. Subscribe to the print edition for $20 a year.
