"We need to ensure that more older people take part in sport," player Michael Rätsch from Hertha Berlin told dpa.
The German team beat a United States team for the title in Cleveland, Queensland, where five teams of eight players played matches over 2x30 minutes on a small pitch.
"We've all got red faces and sunburn. But that isn't dampening our joy," Rätsch said.
They reached the final 3-1 over Japan who they also beat 2-1 in the group stage.
Rätsch, who scored the winner in the group stage match, said that Japan have their own league for older players and that his team had to resort to "tactical means" to prevail.
The German over 80s have European championships next year and also plan a few friendly internationals.
Germany also won back-to-back titles in the over 75 tournament, with both German teams reaching the final. Wales denied the Germans a sweep of all three titles when they beat one German side in the semi-finals and the other one 1-0 in the final of the over 70 event.
