Visalia Times-Delta/Tulare Advance-Register readers can now vote for their favorite high school athletes.

The poll closes at noon Friday, Sept. 18. There are no restrictions, so vote now and vote often. Please do not email your votes.

Here are the choices for this week:

  • Evilino Amador, football, Exeter: Amador scored two touchdowns, returning both a kickoff and a punt into the end zones.
  • Victoria Cabello, volleyball, El Diamante: Cabello smashed eight kills in a tournament victory over Edison.
  • Royal Cox, football, Mission Oak: Cox rushed for 98 yards, threw for two touchdowns and 129 yards, and also caught two passes in a loss versus Tulare Western.
  • Tony Ibarra, football, Dinuba: Ibarra accounted for five total touchdowns (three rushing, two passing) to lead the Emperors to a win over Golden West.
  • Karolyne Moran, volleyball, Golden West: Moran fired 11 kills, six aces, and added 12 digs and 10 assists as the Trailblazers swept Dinuba in three sets.
  • Ruben Palafox, football, Woodlake: In stats reported to MaxPreps.com, Palafox is currently ranked third in the state with 64 tackles through four games. He had 16 total tackles (10 solo) in a win over Sierra Pacific.
  • Alex Rosales, football, Golden West: Rosales caught 10 passes for 108 yards and two receiving touchdowns in a loss against Dinuba.
  • Landan Seechan, football, Tulare Western: Seechan had five receptions for 166 yards and two touchdowns as the undefeated Mustangs topped Mission Oak 62-43.

How to nominate an Athlete of the Week

Nominations are based on information available to the Times-Delta.

All high school varsity players from Tulare County can be on the ballot. Nominations must be received by Monday morning following that week's games for consideration.

Anyone can nominate an athlete of the week for every sport. Nominate next week’s ballot through email. Readers can email nominations to sports reporter Vongni Yang at [email protected]. Please include a player’s statistics and a photo if possible.
