Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham’s latest NASCAR appearance has gone viral.
In the past few months, Sophie Cunningham’s popularity has skyrocketed. So much so that her every public appearance outside of the WNBA makes headlines.

Keeping that trend alive, Cunningham was recently seen at World Wide Technology Raceway for the NASCAR Cup Series Enjoy Illinois 300.
During her appearance, Cunningham did a plethora of things, but one crossover between NBA x WNBA caught the eye of fans as she was captured meeting Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan.

Since taking his exit as the majority owner of the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets, Jordan is often seen at NASCAR events. Why? Well, he owns the 23XI Racing team.
Once again, MJ was there to support his team, and meeting Cunningham was an unexpected moment for many fans.
“She’s bigger than life right now, but literally she probably dwarfs about everyone out there,” a fan wrote. While another added, “If there is one female athlete to be seen with…”
“No surprise she is taller than most of the drivers,” a third fan stated. “She’s a rock star in the making!” a fourth fan announced.
“Bet Michael Jordan has no clue who she is,” a disgruntled fan announced.
Only Jordan can confirm or deny if he knows who Cunningham is, but the way he greeted her certainly seemed like he has an idea about her.
Either way, it feels like Cunningham is entering the realm of super-popularity with increased appearances outside of the W. Fans will be left guessing where she’ll appear next as the Fever star is using the WNBA break efficiently.
