All About the Halftime Show at Broncos-Chiefs
The Broncos-Chiefs halftime show will feature a live performance by the University of Kansas Marching Jayhawks.
The performance will give the Kansas City home opener a strong regional feel while bringing the award-winning collegiate marching band onto the field at Arrowhead Stadium.
Apple Music will curate music for ESPN’s Monday Night Football coverage, including Lil Baby’s “Dead Fresh” for the network’s Week 1 promotions.
The halftime entertainment is part of a larger gameday presentation that will also include performances from the Chiefs Cheerleaders, KC Wolf, and the team’s drumline, Rumble.

Broncos-Chiefs Week 1 Preview
Patrick Mahomes is making his improbable return exactly nine months after tearing his ACL and LCL last December. With him, the Chiefs are looking to rebound from a disappointing 6-11 finish in 2025.
On the other side, Bo Nix enters his third season leading a Broncos team coming off a 15-4 record and their first AFC West title since 2015. Nix has also fully recovered from the ankle injury he suffered during Denver’s playoff win over Buffalo in January.
The Broncos significantly strengthened their receiving corps by trading for Jaylen Waddle. They’ll face a revamped Chiefs secondary that lost Trent McDuffie via trade and safety Bryan Cook in free agency, while Chamarri Conner will miss the opener with a knee injury.
Kansas City, meanwhile, added some star power of their own by signing Kenneth Walker III in free agency.
Denver has surprisingly won four of their last five matchups against Kansas City, including a 20-13 victory in their last meeting on Christmas Day 2025.
