Three NASCAR Chase drivers — Bubba Wallace, Chase Briscoe and William Byron — were involved in a crash on a restart early in Stage 3 in the NASCAR Gateway race on Sept. 13.
Wallace said on the radio he felt he was crowded by Briscoe after the crash. But Briscoe didn't have anywhere to go because he was on the inside of three-wide racing with Ryan Preece and Josh Berry on Lap 141 at World Wide Technology Raceway in Madison, Illinois.

When Wallace started to spin after contact, Byron could not avoid him at the bottom of the track.
Chase Elliot barely escaped the chaos.
It was the ninth caution in the race. Joey Logano took the lead on the restart.
