Men’s basketball: After year at Nebraska, Kendall Blue to return to Tommies for potential fifth season

The Tommies may receive a needed injection into their starting lineup this fall, pending court rulings.
The men’s basketball program announced Thursday that Kendall Blue is rejoining the program.

Blue, an East Ridge High School alum, spent the first three years of his collegiate career in St. Paul, averaging 12.3 points and 4.4 rebounds per game for the Tommies as a junior.
He transferred to Nebraska for his senior season, where he played sparingly amid the Huskers’ run to the Sweet 16.
Blue was part of a large group of players to receive a temporary restraining order against the NCAA in California last month in an effort to gain a potential fifth year of eligibility.
Should Blue indeed be eligible, the Woodbury native figures to slot back into the Tommies’ starting lineup this winter.
