Bills Predicted to Trade Keon Coleman Ahead of NFL Season

One of the biggest questions around the Buffalo Bills this offseason was what the future held for wide receiver Keon Coleman.
After multiple underwhelming years, many people believed that Coleman was going to be traded this offseason. The Bills owner also added to this thought, basically saying that Coleman was a draft pick from the previous coaching staff.

However, Buffalo didn't move Coleman, and he now sits on the roster heading into the new season. With new head coach Joe Brady in the mix, it remains to be seen how Coleman will perform.
Coleman played in 13 games last year for the Bills, catching 38 passes for 404 yards and four touchdowns. In his first season, Coleman also played in 13 games, recording 29 receptions for 556 yards and four scores.
While these numbers aren't the worst, he was expected to give this Bills team more production after being selected in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft. The wideout hasn't lived up to the hype that he came into the league with, and now he is entering a pivotal year with Buffalo.
Ahead of the NFL season starting, there have again been rumors about the Bills potentially trading away Coleman. NFL analyst Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report put together a mock trade idea that would send Coleman to the San Francisco 49ers.

Losing Coleman for just a fifth-round draft pick would be tough, but given how his tenure has gone, it could be worth it. Sending him to a team like San Francisco could be good for his career trajectory, with the 49ers being known for helping players like him.
But it does seem like the Bills are going to hold onto Coleman for now, hoping for better results under Brady. However, if he were to struggle early in the year, a trade around the deadline could still come up.
Coleman has a lot of pressure on his shoulders entering the 2026 season, and he will need to step up for the Bills. Buffalo is no longer waiting around for him, and if he can't produce, his time with the organization will likely be coming to an end sooner rather than later.
