According to SPORT, new signing Dominik Livakovic will be registered with La Liga, with the club expecting to complete all the necessary paperwork before the transfer window closes.
No worries with Livakovic registration
The Croatian goalkeeper was roped in by the Blaugrana last week, with the 31-year-old arriving from Fenerbahce in a deal worth €4 million.
Having signed his contract on Thursday, the veteran shot-stopper has been training with the rest of the squad under Hansi Flick over the past few days.
However, he was left out of the squad for the league match against Rayo Vallecano because of him not being registered yet.

As per the report, Barça are still working to ensure their moves comply with La Liga’s Financial Fair play rules, but as far as Livakovic’s situation is concerned, things are well advanced and his registration is considered virtually certain.
So, the next step is to receive final approval from La Liga so that he can become available for manager Flick for matches.
As such, the Blaugrana are calm about the situation, with the report suggesting that his registration could be completed within the next few hours
Livakovic will stay with Flick
Livakovic’s situation has also changed from the scenario initially considered when he joined from Fenerbahce.
Barcelona had previously explored the possibility of sending him on loan to Dinamo Zagreb for his first season if Fair Play restrictions prevented his registration, with the goalkeeper returning to Barça in 2027, when Wojciech Szczesny’s contract would expire.

However, that plan has changed now, and Livakovic is set to remain with the Barça first team throughout this season.
Once registered, the Croatian will compete for the goalkeeping position with Joan Garcia and Szczesny.
Barcelona will therefore have three goalkeepers available to Flick once the registration is completed.
The only question that remains is when Livakovic will make his official debut. For now, however, Barça are confident that his registration will be finalized before the transfer window closes.
