UGA and Progressive announce new Sanford Stadium partnership, sponsorship

The University of Georgia and Progressive Insurance announced a new sponsorship and partnership that will feature Progressive’s logo on Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium.

The agreement was announced yesterday and will launch with the upcoming 2026 college football season.

Georgia is among 13 college football programs nationwide taking part in the initiative.

The deal is managed through Georgia Bulldogs Sports Marketing, a joint venture between Learfield and JMI Sports that serves as the exclusive multimedia rights holder for the University of Georgia Athletic Association, organization officials said.

Beyond on-field logo placement, the collaboration includes sideboard features, in-venue LED signage, digital and social media integrations and additional game day experiences. The agreement was facilitated by Learfield’s corporate partnership team on behalf of Georgia Bulldogs Sports Marketing. Ryan Gribble serves as chief revenue officer for Georgia Bulldogs Sports Marketing.

“We’re excited to showcase our new sponsorship with Progressive between the hedges!” Gribble said. “This investment significantly supports UGA Athletics, UGA student-athletes and Dawgs fans everywhere.”

The sponsorship arrives as athletic departments evaluate new opportunities to generate revenue. Josh Brooks is the J. Reid Parker director of athletics at the University of Georgia.

“We are proud to be a part of Progressive’s impactful investment in college athletics,” Brooks said. “As we look for additional revenue streams while maintaining our strong positioning on a national level, this relationship assists in providing the necessary resources for our student-athletes. We are thrilled that Progressive is joining the many outstanding game day traditions at Sanford Stadium.”

Progressive’s branding and integrated marketing elements will debut at the start of the 2026 college football season.

It’s a source of excitement for company officials.

“We are excited to be a part of the college football landscape with this investment,” Sean Freeman, a media business leader at Progressive, said. “It is an opportunity to support the collegiate student-athletes at these storied institutions as well as create a unique viewing experience for the fans. College football is ingrained in the cultures at these Universities and we are proud to be a small part of those traditions.”
