The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders are the Triple-A affiliate of the New York Yankees.
They have been a minor league affiliate of the Yankees organization since 2007, and adopted the team name "RailRiders" in 2013.
However, the team announced Tuesday that starting in 2027, they will go by a different moniker.
"While the club’s name and look will evolve, its commitment to delivering memorable experiences at PNC Field and serving as the final stop on the path to the Bronx will remain unchanged," the RailRiders wrote on X.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre's manager, Shelley Duncan, was an outfielder with the Yankees from 2007-09.

The RailRiders are the final stop for minor league players before their graduation to the Yankees in the Bronx.
Over the years, countless Yankees have undergone rehab assignments with the Triple-A affiliate, including current players such as Aaron Judge, Gerrit Cole, Carlos Rodon, and Giancarlo Stanton.
