SAFA bids farewell to Broos as his Bafana Bafana contract ends

The South African Football Association (SAFA) has bid farewell to Hugo Broos as his contract with Bafana Bafana comes to an end.
Broos was appointed as the national team coach in May 2021, and his contract with Bafana Bafana ran for five years.

As reported earlier, the 74-year-old’s contract expires TODAY, and SAFA has now confirmed that the coach will be vacating his position.
SAFA president Dr Danny Jordaan thanked Broos for his services and contribution to Bafana Bafana during his stint.
Broos was the mastermind behind Bafana Bafana bringing home the bronze medal at the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
He is the first coach to steer Bafana Bafana to the knockout stages of the FIFA World Cup after the team had failed to do on three attempts prior.
