Manager Luis de la Fuente has remained largely consistent with his lineup, but replaced Pedri in the midfield with Fabian Ruiz the past two games. Lamine Yamal's fitness has been something of a question throughout the World Cup, but Spain's coach said Lamine was in "perfect physical condition" after missing training on Wednesday as a precaution.
Back in the World Cup final for the first time since winning its first-ever championship in 2010, Spain will have to contend with Lionel Messi and Argentina's vaunted front line.
"Messi is one of a kind; he's an immense talent and, above all, an example for younger athletes," De La Fuente told reporters. "But Lamine has to be Lamine, and I think the best way we can help him is by supporting him, helping him to remain the Lamine we've come to know."
