1 Dolphins player to watch at each offensive position in training camp
· Yahoo Sports
The Miami Dolphins are enjoying their time off before they start their first training camp under new head coach Jeff Hafley later this month at their Baptist Health Training Complex in Miami Gardens.
While training camp will start without pads, practice sessions will eventually be full-go, and we'll finally get a chance to see what this team looks like in competition, even if it's not a real game setting.

Before we get there, let's talk about who we should be watching when that time comes. Today, we'll start on the offense, which will be run by new coordinator Bobby Slowik, who served as the team's senior passing game coordinator under Mike McDaniel last year.
Quarterback: Malik Willis
Willis joined the Dolphins on a three-year, $67.5 million contract this offseason after spending two years with the Tennessee Titans and two years with the Green Bay Packers. With the mixed results that Willis had at each spot, all eyes will be on him when Miami takes the practice field for the first time at camp. If he looks good, expectations for the team could really tun around before Week 1.
Running back: Ollie Gordon II
De'Von Achane will likely get the most attention as the starter coming back from injury, but the battle between Gordon and Jaylen Wright for the backup spot is one of the more underrated competitions happening at camp. At 6-foot-2 and 230+ pounds, he's a physical specimen at running back, which will automatically bring him attention.
Wide Receiver: Caleb Douglas
The Dolphins completely revamped their wide receiver room this offseason, moving on from players like Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine. Among the newcomers to the room, Douglas has the most potential during camp this year, as the team took him in the third-round of this year's draft. Miami needs someone to pop, and if it's Douglas, that would be huge for what Hafley and Jon-Eric Sullivan are building.
Tight End: Will Kacmarek
Kacmarek wasn't a household name at Ohio or Ohio State, but with the Dolphins, he's expected to challenge Ben Sims for the TE2 role behind Greg Dulcich. The rookie proved to be a capable blocker in college, but if he can show any promise as a pass catcher, that will be huge for the competition heading into the team's 2026 campaign.
Offensive Line: Jonah Savaiinaea
Miami took Savaiinaea in the second round of the 2025 NFL draft out of Arizona, and they moved him from right guard to left guard ahead of his rookie season. Savaiinaea struggled mightily in his first year, but now, with the move back to the right side, he'll have a chance to cement himself as a starter and potentially save his career.
