Savannah James Says ‘People Are Always’ Going To Talk About Her And Her Husband, LeBronWhile speaking with her co-host, April McDaniel, Savannah opened up about how she deals with public opinion, noting that “people are always going to have something to say,” but acknowledged there wasn’t much she could do about that.
McDaniel echoed her sentiments, adding that social media only intensifies the situation because platforms give people unprecedented access. “I don’t think that that is normal with social media. No, I think people build up things to crush them,” she said.
Savannah jumped back in, calling McDaniel’s comments “a fact” before speaking about how “crazy” it is that so many people discuss her husband and his life.
“People have definitely made careers out of talking about [LeBron],” Savannah added. “Like… [critics having] a subjective opinion about what everybody thinks is the best thing. But to be on the other side of it, it’s like, ‘No, it’s not.’ They make careers out of that.”
Savannah’s Comments Come Days After LeBron James Announced He Was Leaving The Los Angeles Lakers
MEGASavannah’s comments come days after LeBron, 41, announced his departure from the Los Angeles Lakers after eight seasons. The purple-and-gold organization released a statement following his exit, calling him “one of the greatest athletes in history” before thanking him for his contributions. “We wish him all the best in the future, both on the court and off. He will always be a cherished part of the Lakers family,” the statement concluded.
LeBron, who won a championship with the Lakers in 2020, responded to the team’s statement, saying, “No, THANK YOU!” He went on to call playing for the popular franchise, which was previously home to stars like Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal, an “honor” before saying he hopes he “made a few proud during my stint.”
Rumors Were Swirling That LeBron James Would Ditch The Lakers After This Season
MEGAAnother report from The Blast states that people were expecting LeBron to say goodbye to Los Angeles after the 2025-26 season wrapped. A source previously said that the Akron, OH, native was “ready to move on” from the team and that the team felt the same due to his alleged “outsized ego.”
LeBron appeared to downplay the rumors, though, saying he doesn’t concern himself with “the reports or whatever the case may be.” He went on to say that he joined the Lakers in 2018 to help restore “excellence,” adding that when he was growing up, he saw the team as the best in the world.
He finished by saying he and his teammates accomplished their goal by defeating the Miami Heat in Game 6 of the 2020 NBA Finals and bringing a title back to the franchise.

According to NBA insider Shams Charania, LeBron is in no rush to pick a new team for his historic 24th season in the league.
“What we do know is that LeBron James wants to be in a competitive, competing environment,” Charania said. “He wants to play meaningful basketball, I’m told. But as far as a timeline, there is no timetable. LeBron James does not appear to be in a rush.”
While it’s unclear where the legend could settle, reports suggest it’s narrowed to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers, and Miami Heat.
Where Does Charles Barkley Think LeBron Should Go?
On an episode of the “Unfiltered With Ricky Bo and Bill Colarulo” podcast, Charles Barkley commented on the news and said LeBron would face heat if she chose Philadelphia or Golden State.
“If he goes to Philly people are going to say he’s ring chasing to catch Michael (Jordan). If he goes to Golden State, they’re going to say he’s ring-chasing. He don’t have no affiliation to Philadelphia or Golden State,” said Barkley.
The 11x All-Star said he believes LeBron’s best option is to choose the Cavaliers, calling it “the rightful thing” because of his ties to the city. Barkley also said LeBron could be the missing piece to help get them over the hump.
“Because they’ve got a good team. They’re lacking leadership. And LeBron’s a great leader. To me, it’ll be a fitting way for him to finish his career, in my opinion,” he finished.
