Tanner, along with Tyler Nickel, were invited to the draft combine, which runs May 10-17.

"I'll do whatever it takes to stay in the draft," Tanner said, according to Givony. "I'm not running from anything. I love to play."

"My goal is to play in the NBA. Always has been since I was a kid. I'm fully focused on making it," Tanner added. "This is another opportunity to show what I can do. The way I make those around me better and raise the level of my teammates. I've always built my game on that."

Tanner averaged 19.5 points per game in 2025-26 and shot 48.5% from the field, 3.6 rebounds and 2.14 assists.
