You might have expected Bayern Munich chief executive officer Jan-Christian Dreesen to be upset after his team drop a crazy 5-4 match in the Champions League to Paris Saint-Germain.

However, Dreesen’s reaction was quite the opposite. The executive was proud of his teams will and fight.

“When you’re down 2:5, you’re basically dead. But this team has once again shown character, will, and – most importantly – belief in itself. That was extraordinary. With our fans in the Allianz Arena, I’m optimistic that we can achieve great things,” Dreesen said (as captured by Sky Germany journalist Kerry Hau).

In addition to those words about the group, Dreesen wanted to thank assistant Aaron Danks (aka Danksy), who filled in for suspended head coach Vincent Kompany.

“You’ve done a brilliant job,” Dreesen remarked.

Kompany, who watched from a special box in the stadium, will return for the second leg of this tie and should provide a boost to the team.
