“The Season Is Done”: NFL Analyst Urges Ravens To Pull “No Brainer” Derrick Henry Move After Humiliating TNF Loss
· Yahoo Sports
NFL analyst Clay Travis urged the Baltimore Ravens to let go of star running back Derrick Henry after the team’s humiliating Thursday Night Football showcase against the Jacksonville Jaguars. After the 33-10 defeat, the Ravens are 4-5, and playoff hopes are starting to fade.
Ahead of the November 10 NFL trade deadline, Travis wants the Ravens to trade Henry to a contender, as they have little left to play for this season.

“The Ravens should trade Derrick Henry to a contender. The season is done, and Henry doesn’t have that many years left to play. Feels like a no-brainer,” Travis wrote on X.
In Thursday’s defeat, Henry carried the ball 17 times for 57 rushing yards.
The 32-year-old running back has a $12 million salary scheduled for 2027, none of which is guaranteed. His relatively low remaining 2026 base salary of $1.255 million also makes him an easier player for an acquiring team to fit under its salary cap.
Now, after four straight losses and long-term injuries to Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley, the Ravens may be inclined to trade Henry to a contender for top future draft picks.
Travis’s opinion aligns with ESPN insider Dan Graziano, who previously suggested Baltimore could consider moving the veteran running back if the team fell to 4-5. NFL insider Jason La Canfora also reported that the Ravens could trade Henry in exchange for a third-round draft pick.
Derrick Henry Trade Rumors Receive Pushback After Dismal TNF Showdown
Derrick Henry’s future with the Ravens has become a hot topic after their Thursday defeat to the Jaguars.
According to James Palmer of Amazon, the Ravens don’t plan to trade Henry before the trade deadline, as the team still expects to regain its competitive edge despite a recent string of losses. Palmer expects the Ravens to finalize a trade for Jacoby Brissett from the Arizona Cardinals, suggesting Baltimore isn’t abandoning playoff ambitions yet.
Meanwhile, Henry reached a statistical milestone during Thursday’s game. The Ravens running back moved into seventh place on the NFL’s all-time rushing list with 13,707 yards after running for 57 yards in the defeat against the Jaguars. Henry surpassed Jerome Bettis (13,662) and LaDainian Tomlinson (13,684) in the all-time rushing yards list.
