Speaking on ESPN’s First Take on Monday, Orlovsky declared Nix the most clutch quarterback in the NFL after leading Denver to a dramatic 28-24 comeback victory in Week 8.
“Bo Nix is the most clutch quarterback in the NFL,” Orlovsky said. “He’s 25-3 when trailing since the start of 2025, that’s outrageous, he’s the most clutch guy in ball right now.”

The praise comes after another remarkable comeback from the third-year quarterback, who continues to establish himself as one of the league’s most reliable performers in high-pressure situations.

Nix continues to deliver in clutch moments

The performance marked the 25-year-old’s 15th career game-winning drive and his 12th fourth-quarter comeback since entering the NFL in 2024. Both totals are tied for the most by any quarterback in NFL history through his first three seasons.
Nix finished Sunday’s contest completing 20 of 32 pass attempts for 222 yards and two touchdowns. His efforts helped the Broncos secure their fourth consecutive victory while handing the Chiefs their second straight loss.
Beyond his ability to deliver in important moments, Nix has also been taking care of the football.
He has now gone five consecutive games without throwing an interception, tying for the second-longest streak in Broncos franchise history and marking the team’s longest such run since Case Keenum accomplished the feat in 2018.
Nix has attempted 164 consecutive passes without an interception, making it the second time in his career that he has surpassed 160 attempts without a turnover through the air.

The Broncos will now prepare for a Week 9 road matchup against the Carolina Panthers (3-4) on Sunday before heading into their Week 10 bye.
If Nix continues delivering in clutch situations, Orlovsky’s assessment could become an increasingly difficult one to argue against.
