The Las Vegas Raiders were off to a really hot start in September and were undefeated heading into Week 4. But that changed quickly, and they haven't won a game since their first three.

Now the franchise is still utilizing veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins while also keeping an eye on rookie Fernando Mendoza and figuring out when to let the latter get the start. With the NFL's Nov. 10 trade deadline approaching, it's an apt time to wonder if the Raiders are going to trade Cousins to get some picks and let Mendoza take the reins, especially since their playoff hopes are starting to dwindle.

ESPN reveals Kirk Cousins' chances of being traded before the NFL deadline

In a feature released on Wednesday, ESPN's Matt Bowen and Jeremy Fowler discuss possible trade candidates ahead of the deadline. They also reveal their projection for how likely it is that Cousins will get traded.

They don't see it as very likely and only give him a 20% chance of getting traded. If he does, however, they see him going to the Carolina Panthers, New York Giants or his old stomping grounds of the Minnesota Vikings.

As for why it's not super likely this will happen, Fowler notes, "There are no glaring needs at quarterback leaguewide, but injuries happen every week. The Raiders have not planned to be overly active at the deadline."

Fowler adds of Cousins' trade chances, "Cousins played well enough through seven games that he has trade value. So does his contract, which after being reworked features a $1.3 million base salary."

So, this isn't a trade that you're likely to see go down. But don't be totally shocked if it happens.
