· Yahoo Sports
The Tennessee Titans rebuild reached a pivot point on Oct. 29 with the Jeffery Simmons trade to the Chicago Bears.
The Titans traded Simmons and a 2028 fifth-round pick to Chicago for a 2027 first-round pick, a 2028 first-round pick and a 2027 fourth-round selection.

Tennessee now owns four first-round picks over the next two drafts. Whether the Bears' first-round picks land in the bottom of the round or not, it's a major opportunity for GM Mike Borgonzi and the team to continue the build after two first-round picks (Carnell Tate and Keldric Faulk) in 2026.
The Titans' current roster issues are partially rooted in poor drafting; With Simmons' exit, 2023 first-round pick Peter Skoronski is longest-tenured first-round pick drafted by the franchise.
The Titans own nine picks in the 2027 draft next April. The Simmons trade is the first time the team added or subtracted from the 2027 and 2028 draft picks pool.
