Identifying 5 Potential Saquon Barkley Trade Landing Spots Before Nov. 10 NFL Trade Deadline
· Yahoo Sports
The Philadelphia Eagles seem destined to be sellers at the NFL trade deadline, with shipping off veteran talent for draft picks seemingly being the only way for Howie Roseman to salvage the season. With the need for a rebuild growing, even a Saquon Barkley trade might need to be considered.

Ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline, let’s examine five potential NFL teams that would be reasonable fits for Barkley and a deal with the Eagles.
Seattle Seahawks

It’s not good enough, not with quarterback Sam Darnold often needing to be schemed around to hide his issues. Saquon Barkley, who is averaging 5.7 yards per carry this season, can be the do-it-all back this Seahawks offense needs. He could even function as an underneath receiving threat for Darnold, all the while taking advantage of light boxes when he runs it. If Seattle wants to catch up to the San Francisco 49ers, landing Barkley does it.
Houston Texans

Mandatory Credit: Geoff Burke-Imagn ImagesThe issue for the Houston Texans, besides a defense that has been unpredictably bad, is that they traded a 2027 second-round pick for a wide receiver they didn’t need. It’s come as no surprise to fans that adding Marvin Harrison Jr. hasn’t helped a ground game that ranks 29th in yards per carry (3.6) and 28th in success rate (34 percent). Barkley will. He faces a ton of stacked boxes in Philadelphia, an issue he wouldn’t encounter as much with this Texans offense because C.J. Stroud is playing near an MVP-caliber level this season and defenses must account for Nico Collins. Adding Barkley won’t fix Houston’s biggest problem right now, but it would create balance offensively, and perhaps greater ball control means the defense spends less time on the field and eventually returns to being a top-15 unit.
Minnesota Vikings
Oct 19, 2025; Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA; Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley (26) runs the ball during the first half against the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Jeffrey Becker-Imagn ImagesHeading into Week 8, the Minnesota Vikings offense ranks 30th in yards per drive (25.1), 27th in yards-per-play average (4.7), and 26th in both third-down conversion rate (36.7 percent) and points per drive (1.78). That says everything about how good Minnesota has been defensively this year to put up a perfect record. However, the Vikings can’t win a Super Bowl with this current iteration of their offense, and it seems head coach Kevin O’Connell isn’t going to use quarterback Kyler Murray in a way that maximizes him. So, this needs to be one of the best rushing offenses in the NFL. How do you accomplish that? Acquire Saquon Barkley and let him take advantage of this system and an offensive line that ranks fourth in ESPN run-block win rate (75 percent).
Denver Broncos
Oct 5, 2025; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA; Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley (26) makes a catch at Lincoln Financial Field. Mandatory Credit: Bill Streicher-Imagn ImagesThe good news for Sean Payton and the Denver Broncos is that rookie Jonah Coleman seems to be stepping up now that he’s healthy and providing a spark on the ground. It’s fair to wonder, though, how long that can last for a first-year player before he hits the rookie wall. It might be in the team’s best interest for the front office that went all-in with the Jaylen Waddle trade to now make a move for Barkley. Acquiring the All-Pro running back would allow Denver to take more of the offensive weight off Bo Nix’s shoulders, becoming a more run-heavy team that mixes in play-action and gets creative with Barkley out of the backfield. It’s the best path to going back to the AFC Championship Game.
Cincinnati Bengals
Oct 4, 2026; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA; Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley before a game against the Los Angeles Rams at Lincoln Financial Field. Mandatory Credit: Bill Streicher-Imagn ImagesJoe Burrow and this Cincinnati Bengals’ passing attack are firing on all cylinders in 2026. However, this team has the fifth-lowest yards per carry (3.6) with Chase Brown averaging just 47.5 rushing yards per game. Cincinnati’s defense and aerial attack are good enough to win the AFC North and make a deep playoff run, but that’s only going to happen if they can salvage something workable on the ground. Barkley would face lighter boxes in Cincinnati, and he’s already proven he can still make the most out of a bad situation this season in Philadelphia. Put him in an environment that’s far better suited for success, and he could be one of the best offensive weapons in the NFL as part of this Bengals offense.
