1 Trade Candidate For Every Team as NFL Deadline Approaches

· Yahoo Sports

USA TODAY Sports via Reuters Connect

The Nov. 10 NFL trade deadline is approaching quickly, and front offices have been busy working the phone lines. Whether it’s as a buyer or a seller, NFL general managers have been busy in the past few weeks, and that activity will only ramp up as the deadline nears. Whether a team is looking for more draft capital for 2027, trying to improve their roster in anticipation of a deep playoff push, or just trying to offload players on expiring contracts, every NFL team could have some trade business to conduct. Thus, it’s time to evaluate one trade candidate for all 32 NFL teams.

Arizona Cardinals Trade James Conner

This was an imperfect fit from the moment the Arizona Cardinals decided to renegotiate James Conner’s contract this offseason, especially after the team signed Tyler Allgeier and made Jeremiyah Love the fourth overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Unfortunately, Conner has a foot injury and hasn’t been able to play at all yet, but there’s a belief he’ll eventually make his return. But what would be the point in pushing his foot for a team that isn’t contending this season? If the Cardinals truly believe the Pro Bowl back will return, then they should shop him for a late-round pick that helps accelerate this rebuild.

Atlanta Falcons Trade for Jerry Jeudy

The Atlanta Falcons’ offense got the boost they desperately needed when Michael Penix Jr. returned to the lineup, but they could still use an upgrade to their receiving corps to help take attention away from Drake London, Kyle Pitts, and Bijan Robinson. Jerry Jeudy may be the perfect fit. While the Cleveland Browns have a better record than the Falcons do, Jeudy has taken a back seat to Denzel Boston and K.C. Concepcion. Meanwhile, the former Pro Bowl receiver may have an easy acclimation period in Atlanta, reuniting with coach Kevin Stefanski, whom he had a career year with back in 2024.

Baltimore Ravens Trade for Tariq Woolen

Feb 5, 2023; Paradise, Nevada, USA; NFC cornerback Tariq Woolen signs autographs for fans at the end of the 2023 Pro Bowl at Allegiant Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Lucas Peltier-USA TODAY Sports

The Baltimore Ravens may have a lot of big names in their secondary, but they’re not playing well under Jesse Minter this season. It’s gotten to the point where the Ravens may want to consider outside help. One option that could be particularly intriguing is taking a chance on trading for Riq Woolen, who signed a one-year, $12 million contract with the Eagles this offseason. Now Woolen may wish he joined a team more equipped to compete right away.

Buffalo Bills Trade for Amani Hooker

The Buffalo Bills may have a Super Bowl-caliber offense, but the defense looks like it’s set for a rebuild. Obviously, that’s not the case with Josh Allen at QB. Rather, the Bills may want to take advantage of another year of Allen’s prime by making an impact upgrade to the secondary. Amani Hooker may be the perfect fit as someone who can help both against the run and the pass. With 19 takeaways in 73 starts, Hooker could be the difference maker the Bills need.

Carolina Panthers Trade for Daron Payne

Jan 4, 2026; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA; Philadelphia Eagles center Drew Kendall (66) blocks Washington Commanders defensive tackle Daron Payne (94) at Lincoln Financial Field. Mandatory Credit: Eric Hartline-Imagn Images

The Carolina Panthers can win them a lot of games. Unfortunately, the defense can lose a lot too. This week, they’re coming off another atrocious defensive effort. After allowing 102 points combined in their first game and their last, it’s time to make an upgrade. One-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Daron Payne may be able to help the Panthers create more of a pass rush while generating more run stops too.

Chicago Bears Trade for Khalil Mack

Oct 4, 2026; Seattle, Washington, USA; Los Angeles Chargers linebacker Khalil Mack (52) is seen against the Seattle Seahawks during the second half at Lumen Field. Mandatory Credit: Joe Nicholson-Imagn Images

The Chicago Bears are looking to generate more of a pass rush, and reuniting with Khalil Mack may be the best way to do so. Not only would the nine-time Pro Bowler likely cost no more than a Day 3 pick, but he’d also be an ideal addition, offering a boost in the pass rush department and as a run stopper. Mack already has three sacks this season, which would rank as the third-most in Chicago.

Cincinnati Bengals Trade for Amik Robertson

Oct 11, 2026; Landover, Maryland, USA; Washington Commanders cornerback Amik Robertson (2) blocks a pass intended for New York Giants wide receiver Darnell Mooney (17) during overtime at Northwest Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Geoff Burke-Imagn Images

The Cincinnati Bengals have drastically upgraded their defense, and the offense was already excellent. Though one area where the Bengals could still afford to add more talent is in the secondary, particularly at cornerback. The Bengals aren’t typically the type to make major investments or bold moves, but one solution that could help is making a low-cost trade for someone like cornerback Amik Robertson. The Commanders have just one win, Robertson has just one year left on his contract, and he’s been one of the better cornerbacks in Washington this season.

Cleveland Browns Trade Dillon Gabriel

Aug 15, 2026; Chicago, Illinois, USA; Cleveland Browns quarterback Dillon Gabriel (6) passes the ball against the Chicago Bears during the second half at Soldier Field. Mandatory Credit: Patrick Gorski-Imagn Images

The Cleveland Browns may not yet know whether Deshaun Watson is worth investing another year in, but they don’t need four quarterbacks on the roster. Dillon Gabriel could be the odd man out after making Taylen Green a sixth-round pick in April. While the Browns just invested a third-round pick in Gabriel last year, former fifth-round selection Shedeur Sanders seems to have overtaken him. While the Browns may not get anything more than a sixth-round pick in return, it’s better than cutting Gabriel and getting nothing in return now that he’s been activated from IR and may need the valuable roster spot elsewhere.

Dallas Cowboys Trade for Will McDonald IV

Oct 25, 2026; East Rutherford, New Jersey, USA; New York Jets defensive end Will McDonald IV (9) reacts during player introductions before a game against the Miami Dolphins at MetLife Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Vincent Carchietta-Imagn Images

There are a number of areas where the Dallas Cowboys could still upgrade their defense. After recently trading for Joey Porter Jr., perhaps now it’s time to reinvest in the front seven with another potential long-term building block rather than an aging veteran. One potential solution could be to trade for former first-round pick Will McDonald IV. The 27-year-old is now in the final year of his rookie deal and has tallied 23.5 sacks in 54 games. After recording a career-high 10.5 sacks in 2024, there’s still a chance McDonald could develop into a Pro Bowl edge rusher.

Denver Broncos Trade for Tony Pollard

Oct 25, 2026; Nashville, Tennessee, USA; Tennessee Titans running back Tony Pollard (20) runs the ball against Cleveland Browns safety Grant Delpit (9) during the fourth quarter at Nissan Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Steve Roberts-Imagn Images

Second-round rookie R.J. Harvey is coming off his best game yet, and his breakout performance may have been enough to convince the Denver Broncos that they don’t need to make a splashy move for a big-name running back. Instead, they may see more value in adding a complementary weapon like Tony Pollard. The one-time Pro Bowl running back has recorded four consecutive 1,000-yard seasons and could help in pass protection until Harvey becomes more reliable there, too.

Detroit Lions Trade for Nahshon Wright

Oct 25, 2026; East Rutherford, New Jersey, USA; New York Jets cornerback Nahshon Wright (26) looks on while warming up before a game against the Miami Dolphins at MetLife Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Vincent Carchietta-Imagn Images

The Detroit Lions needed help at cornerback before the season kicked off, and their in-house options haven’t provided any solutions since. One option could be to turn to old pal Aaron Glenn, who signed cornerback Nahshon Wright to a one-year contract this offseason. Yet, Wright, who recorded five interceptions last season, hasn’t seen a single snap on the Jets’ defense in 2026. Why not trade him rather than hold the 28-year-old hostage?

Green Bay Packers Trade for Quenton Nelson

Nov 30, 2025; Indianapolis, Indiana, USA; Indianapolis Colts guard Quenton Nelson (56) warms up before a game against the Houston Texans at Lucas Oil Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Robert Goddin-Imagn Images

Not even Josh Jacobs could save the Green Bay Packers’ rushing attack right away. Perhaps it’s time to make a trade for an interior offensive lineman. While the Packers have suffered injuries all along the line, adding the future Hall of Famer may finally bring some stability at left guard. Although Nelson is on an expiring contract, he could find a long-term fit in Green Bay playing for an offensive mind like Matt LaFleur.

Houston Texans Trade for Alvin Kamara

Oct 18, 2026; East Rutherford, New Jersey, USA; New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (41) runs the ball against New York Giants safety Jevon Holland (8) during the third quarter at MetLife Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Vincent Carchietta-Imagn Images

David Montgomery and Woody Marks haven’t been effective leading the Houston Texans’ rushing attack. Perhaps they’d be better off upgrading the offensive line, but to be fair, neither Marks nor Montgomery look like long-term solutions in Houston. The 31-year-old Alvin Kamara isn’t either, though he may be a more effective playmaker than Houston’s internal options. Kamara is averaging just 3.0 YPC in New Orleans, but there’s little doubt the five-time Pro Bowler would be the most dangerous playmaker in Houston’s backfield this season.

Indianapolis Colts Trade DeForest Buckner

Sep 13, 2026; Indianapolis, Indiana, USA; Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (8) throws the ball over Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle DeForest Buckner (99) at Lucas Oil Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Trevor Ruszkowski-Imagn Images

With no first-round pick in 2027, the Indianapolis Colts will likely be major sellers ahead of the NFL trade deadline. While there’s a lot of frustration brewing on this 2-5 team, arguably no one is more irritated than 32-year-old defensive tackle DeForest Buckner. He’s been outspoken after back-to-back losses and hasn’t played in a postseason game since 2020. Buckner hasn’t won a playoff game since 2019, and chances are he’ll get sent to a contender soon.

Jacksonville Jaguars Trade for Moro Ojomo

Oct 4, 2026; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA; Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Moro Ojomo (97) reacts after a third-down stop against the Los Angeles Rams during the second quarter at Lincoln Financial Field. Mandatory Credit: Bill Streicher-Imagn Images

Upon first glance, the AFC South-leading 4-2 Jacksonville Jaguars appear to have what they need to secure a top seed in their conference, boasting a top-10 offense and a top-three defense. Yet, one area where the front office may still be seeking an upgrade could be along the defensive interior, where another pass-rusher would be welcome. That’s where Philadelphia’s Moro Ojomo could come in handy. The 25-year-old is in the final year of his rookie deal, but he’s been one of the team’s best interior pass rushers so far this season. Ojomo could be a long-term building block in Jacksonville, and trading for him now would prevent the Jags from having to spend big on the open market later, while also not impacting their compensatory pick formula either.

Kansas City Chiefs Trade for Calvin Ridley

Oct 11, 2026; Nashville, Tennessee, USA; Tennessee Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley (0) runs with the ball after a made catch against the Houston Texans during the second half at Nissan Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Steve Roberts-Imagn Images

The Kansas City Chiefs seem like a sure bet to upgrade their pass-catching corps in some form. How about trading for Calvin Ridley? The 31-year-old was once on his way toward becoming one of the NFL’s best young playmakers, but his production has drastically dropped off catching passes from Cam Ward in the past two years. A change of scenery may be all the three-time 1,000-yard receiver needs to become a dangerous weapon again.

Las Vegas Raiders Trade Kirk Cousins

Oct 25, 2026; Paradise, Nevada, USA; Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins (8) drops back to pass against the Los Angeles Rams at Allegiant Stadium. Mandatory Credit: David Brytus-Imagn Images

It seems unfathomable for the Las Vegas Raiders to trade Kirk Cousins when he’s leading the NFL in passing touchdowns. Yet, that’s also a great reason to dangle the four-time Pro Bowler on the trade block just to see what type of draft capital could be recovered. There are a few teams who may consider an upgrade, and with the Raiders surely eager to see what No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza is made of, trading Cousins could make some sense as this group looks to bounce back in an even bigger way in 2027.

Los Angeles Chargers Trade Khalil Mack

Since they can’t buy a win, it’s time for the Los Angeles Chargers to be sellers ahead of the NFL trade deadline. The one player who they should definitely ship out is 35-year-old Khalil Mack, who’s in the final year of his contract. The three-time First-Team All-Pro has still been productive in multiple facets, recording three sacks and five tackles for loss across six starts. With a number of teams in need of a pass-rush boost, and Mack being a sure thing as an eight-time Pro Bowler, the Chargers may be able to fetch a better-than-expected return after pitting a few bidders against one another.

Los Angeles Rams Trade for Josh Downs

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Josh Downs (2) pulls in a pass and reaches the first down marker Sunday, Oct. 18, 2026, during the game against the Tennessee Titans at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

With Davante Adams out for the foreseeable future, plus in the final year of his contract, the Los Angeles Rams need to start thinking of alternative options. With Puka Nacua also in the final year of his deal, the Rams likely wouldn’t turn down the opportunity to add a younger option who may have interest in sticking around for the long run too. That player could be Josh Downs, who is just 25 and hasn’t had a season with fewer than 566 yards yet.

Miami Dolphins Trade Aaron Brewer

Sep 13, 2026; Paradise, Nevada, USA; Miami Dolphins center Aaron Brewer (55) walks onto the field before the game against the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium. Mandatory Credit: David Brytus-Imagn Images.

Nobody is talking about the Miami Dolphins trading Aaron Brewer, one of their franchise cornerstones ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline, but maybe they should be. After all, Brewer has experience playing guard, but his career didn’t really take off until switching to center. More so, he turns 29 on the 28th, and likely won’t still be around once the Dolphins are competitive, so if a team is willing to sell the farm for him now, Miami should be ready to accept.

Minnesota Vikings Trade for Jonathan Taylor

Oct 25, 2026; Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA; Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor (28) rushes the ball against the Minnesota Vikings in the second half at U.S. Bank Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Brad Rempel-Imagn Images

One might argue that the Minnesota Vikings’ running back group isn’t a bad collection of talent with Aaron Jones, Jordan Mason, and Demond Claiborne. However, if Sunday’s matchup against the Colts showed one thing, it was how much of a difference-maker Jonathan Taylor can be, even when the rest of the offense is in shambles. The thing is, the rest of the Vikings’ offense isn’t in complete shambles, and they certainly have better weapons too. With Justin Jefferson already commanding a lot of attention from the secondary, adding Taylor into the mix to make sure each opponent’s front seven has to dedicate their attention to the star rusher too would definitely open up Kevin O’Connell’s offense.

New England Patriots Trade for Yaya Diaby

Oct 8, 2026; Arlington, Texas, USA; Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Yaya Diaby (0) rushes the line during the game between the Cowboys and the Buccaneers at AT&T Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Jerome Miron-Imagn Images

The New England Patriots have gotten significant production from Elijah Ponder, but Dre’Mont Jones hasn’t offered much, and Harold Landry is on injured reserve. As a result, Mike Vrabel’s team could still use a bit of a pass rush boost, and Yaya Diaby may be the perfect solution. Diaby’s already up to three sacks this season, and he’s added six TFLs too. Diaby wouldn’t break the bank to trade for, yet he could find a long-term home in New England.

New Orleans Saints Trade Cameron Jordan

Oct 18, 2026; East Rutherford, New Jersey, USA; New York Giants quarterback Jameis Winston (19) throws a pass against New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan (94) during the third quarter at MetLife Stadium. Mandatory Credit: John Jones-Imagn Images

Chances are, Cameron Jordan is a lifer with the New Orleans Saints. But perhaps the 37-year-old wants a chance to win a ring, and the Saints haven’t been to the postseason since 2020. Even if he decided to play another season in 2027, he could close out the year on a contender in pursuit of a Super Bowl.

New York Giants Trade for Troy Dye

Oct 18, 2026; Kansas City, Missouri, USA; Kansas City Chiefs running back Emmett Johnson (10) makes a catch as Los Angeles Chargers linebacker Troy Dye (43) tackles during the first quarter at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Denny Medley-Imagn Images

Now that Tremaine Edmunds has been ruled out for the season, the New York Giants will need to make other plans at the linebacker position. While they’re locked into Arvell Reese and Edmunds for the future, they could find a short-term solution by trading for Troy Dye from Jim Harbaugh’s Chargers. Also an excellent special teams standout, Dye could end up sticking around in New York as a valued backup after ending the year as their starter.

New York Jets Trade Dane Belton

Oct 4, 2026; Chicago, Illinois, USA; Chicago Bears running back Kyle Monangai (25) runs with the ball against New York Jets safety Dane Belton (6) during the third quarter at Soldier Field. Mandatory Credit: Mike Dinovo-Imagn Images

The New York Jets won’t get a lot of value by trading Dane Belton, but even adding another Day 3 pick could help the front office in the future. Whether it’s packaging the extra draft capital to move up for a franchise QB of the future or simply having more chances to pluck young, cost-controlled talent, the Jets may be better off trading Belton, who’s on pace for his second 100-tackle campaign in a row.

Philadelphia Eagles Trade Landon Dickerson

Sep 21, 2025; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA; Philadelphia Eagles guard Landon Dickerson (69) against the Los Angeles Rams at Lincoln Financial Field. Mandatory Credit: Eric Hartline-Imagn Images

The Philadelphia Eagles have already shown they’re not afraid to trade building blocks. Left guard Landon Dickerson has been surprisingly outspoken about his future in Philadelphia as he’s battled some injuries. The Eagles’ front office may not want to hear that from an aging veteran with a $13.7 million cap hit in 2027. Trading Dickerson would come with a large $26.2 million dead cap charge in 2027, so any offer would have to be enticing.

Pittsburgh Steelers Trade for Brian Thomas Jr.

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. (7) reacts to his reception during the first quarter of an NFL football matchup at EverBank Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2026, in Jacksonville, Fla. [Corey Perrine/Florida Times-Union]

The Pittsburgh Steelers are still looking for receivers who can make a difference in their offense. They were willing to take a chance on the big, physical D.K. Metcalf; perhaps they’d have similar interest in taking on Brian Thomas Jr. too? The size/speed specimen has fallen out of favor in Jacksonville, but as a former Pro Bowl receiver, the Steelers should have a great amount of interest in adding him to their core.

San Francisco 49ers Trade for Spencer Shrader

Oct 25, 2026; Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA; Indianapolis Colts kicker Spencer Shrader (3) kicks a field goal against the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Jeffrey Becker-Imagn Images

It may not be the sexiest move, but if the San Francisco 49ers expect to go on a long playoff run, they’ll need a more reliable kicker. One option could be to tap into a selling team like the Colts. Spencer Shrader has quietly developed into one of the NFL’s best kickers, and he’s under contract for next season too. Having made 92.5% of his field goals in his career, Shrader would be a sizable upgrade over Eddy Pineiro, who has made just 88.4% of his kicks, including a career-low 66.7% this season.

Seattle Seahawks Trade for Tyjae Spears

Sep 20, 2026; Nashville, Tennessee, USA; Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward (1) hands the ball off to running back Tyjae Spears (2) against the Philadelphia Eagles during the first half at Nissan Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Steve Roberts-Imagn Images

The Seattle Seahawks believe they have their RB of the future in first-round pick Jadarian Price, but he’s still a rookie, and thus, unreliable. If they want a chance at repeating as Super Bowl champions, the Seahawks may want to add another capable veteran to their backfield. Tyjae Spears won’t arrive as someone ready to take on the starting role, but his speed, pass protection, and pass-catching abilities can all help the Seahawks down the stretch.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Trade for Landon Dickerson

Feb 9, 2025; New Orleans, LA, USA; Philadelphia Eagles guard Landon Dickerson (69) against the Kansas City Chiefs during Super Bowl LIX at Caesars Superdome. Mandatory Credit: Mark J. Rebilas-Imagn Images

While they’re 2-5, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers may still have a chance in the NFC South. Thus, rather than being sellers, maybe it’s time to become buyers and start trying to build the best team possible for the rest of this season while preparing for 2027 too. The offensive line, particularly the interior, could use some help. Would they be willing to go bold and trade for a three-time Pro Bowler like Dickerson?

Tennessee Titans Trade Jeffery Simmons

Oct 11, 2026; Nashville, Tennessee, USA; Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons (98) stands during the National Anthem against the Houston Texans during the first half at Nissan Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Steve Roberts-Imagn Images

The Tennessee Titans are headed nowhere fast, and there are few franchise cornerstones who may still be there by the time this group starts winning. While he’s a key part of Robert Saleh’s defense, it’s time to start considering a trade involving Jeffery Simmons. While the former First-Team All-Pro is one of the NFL’s best defensive tackles, he’s also 29 years old and hasn’t been on a playoff team since 2021. He deserves better, and considering Simmons is signed through 2030, he’d likely fetch a top 75 pick.

Washington Commanders Trade K’Lavon Chaisson

Sep 27, 2026; Landover, Maryland, USA; Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold (14) makes a throw against Washington Commanders linebacker K’Lavon Chaisson (45) at Northwest Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Geoff Burke-Imagn Images

Sitting with just one win, the Washington Commanders have no choice but to consider selling. One player who would make sense, in that he’s actually valuable and on an expiring contract, is K’Lavon Chaisson. The Commanders’ edge-rushing plan was always a bit short-sighted, though now they can get some value in return for trading a 27-year-old edge rusher like Chaisson, who’s recorded 2.5 sacks in 2026 after having a career-high 7.5 in 2025.
