According to the South African Weather Service (Saws), parts of KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) and the Eastern Cape can expect severe thunderstorms with heavy downpours, damaging winds, hail, and lightning, resulting in localised flooding and damage to infrastructure and settlements.

Western parts of the Free State and the extreme eastern parts of the Northern Cape can expect damaging winds, causing localised damage to settlements, localised loss of agricultural production, and affecting some transport routes and travel services due to wind, falling trees, or dust storms.

A fire warning is also in effect for the North-West, central and eastern Northern Cape, most of the Free State and Limpopo, and parts of western KZN and eastern Northern Cape.
