“We’ll see what happens” – Liverpool could have the chance to finally sign Real Madrid star

Liverpool Transfer Interest in Endrick Makes Sense Ahead of January

Liverpool looked at Endrick in the summer, and the logic has not changed. Andoni Iraola wanted more attacking depth, the club explored several options, and the Brazilian was one of them. Yankuba Minteh and Ismaïla Sarr were also considered, while Bradley Barcola eventually arrived at Anfield.

Real Madrid shut the door when Liverpool asked about Endrick’s availability. That was the end of it, for then. The player stayed put, and the reason was obvious. Madrid rate him highly and had no interest in letting him go. The problem is equally obvious now. He has made only four appearances in all competitions, and minutes matter for a 20-year-old forward.

Endrick situation at Real Madrid

The clearest line on the situation came from his representative, Michael Yormark, who said: “I think it’s a fluid process. I think we have to see how things go from now until the end of the year, before the next transfer window.

“I visited him a few weeks ago in Madrid; we had a great chat, he’s eager to play, so we’ll see what happens. He loves Madrid, he loves the team, and his teammates, but at the end of the day when you think about the lifespan of a career, it’s short, and he wants to maximise it.

“I think his first choice would be to stay at Real Madrid, but he’s got to play.”

That is not a transfer request. It is a warning light. Madrid can keep him, but they cannot stop the market reacting if the minutes do not come.

Liverpool attack depth under Iraola

Liverpool have already added Barcola, and he is starting to show why the club moved for him. Rio Ngumoha also caught the eye with an outstanding display in the Champions League win over Villarreal. Even so, the depth issue has not disappeared.

Cody Gakpo is back after the injury he suffered during the September and October international break. Alexander Isak also had a knock in September. Over a long season, that is enough to expose the lack of numbers quickly.

January loan move could suit all parties

If Endrick remains on the fringes at Real Madrid, a loan becomes the sensible middle ground. Liverpool would get a high-upside attacking option without a major permanent outlay, Madrid would protect the player’s value, and Endrick would get what he needs most, matches.

That is why Liverpool’s interest still matters. Nothing is advanced, and Madrid still hold the cards. But if this stays a question of development rather than prestige, Endrick will have options, and Liverpool will be paying attention.
