Four men seen assaulting persons protesting against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar in Delhi on Saturday have been arrested, The Hindu quoted an unidentified police officer as saying.

The men purportedly claimed to be members of the Hindutva organisation Hindu Rakshak Dal.
A widely shared video of the incident shows a man beating a male protester while a woman tries to stop him. It also shows another man hitting a woman and pushing her to the ground, while a police officer can be seen at the spot.
The police took suo moto cognisance of the incident based on the video, The Indian Express quoted an unidentified police officer as saying.
The persons accused in the case have been identified as Raman Saini (50), Vivekanand alias Vivek (32), Kapil Kumar (27) and Ravinder Singh alias Govind Hindu (35).
The incident took place on a stretch of DDU Marg under the jurisdiction of Kamla Market Police Station, the newspaper reported.
