Bengals vs. Dolphins inactive players in Week 5: Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins cleared for game
· Yahoo Sports
The Miami Dolphins host the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 5, looking to pull off the upset for their first win of the year. Early in the week, it appeared the Bengals may come into Sunday’s game without their top two receivers as Ja’Marr Chase worked his way through the concussion protocol and Tee Higgins dealt with groin and neck issues. On Sunday, both players were cleared to play, avoiding the inactive players list for Cincinnati.
The Bengals will be without safety Kyle Duggar, who was ruled out with a quadriceps injury. He led Cincinnati’s inactive list, which also included center Connor Lew, tackle Myles Hinton, tight end Jack Endries, wide receiver Colbie Young, and defensive tackle Landon Robinson.

The Dolphins ruled four players out of the game on Friday’s injury report (not including cornerback Storm Duck, who is practicing but has not been activated from the physically unable to perform list): edge rusher Robert Beal, Jr. (hamstring), wide receiver Caleb Douglas (ankle), tight end Justin Joly (concussion), and cornerback Reese Taylor (quadriceps). Miami’s inactive list started with those four.
Along with the injured players, Miami also listed running back Kaytron Allen, guard DJ Campbell, and tackle Chukwuebuka Godrick as inactive. Allen was claimed off waivers this week from the Washington Commanders and likely needs more time to get up to speed on the playbook. The Dolphins elevated running back Carlos Washington from the practice squad to provide depth behind Jaylen Wright and Ollie Gordon II.
