Giants-Commanders injury report: Latest on Malik Nabers, Jayden Daniels, Stefon Diggs (UPDATE)
· Yahoo Sports
UPDATE: The Giants’ final Week 5 injury report is encouraging for them. Just two players are on it — defensive lineman Chauncey Golston (neck) and safety Jason Pinnock (concussion). Both are out. They both missed practice every day this week.

All of the Giants’ other players fully participated in Friday’s practice. That includes, most notably, wide receiver Malik Nabers (knee), left tackle Andrew Thomas (groin), tight end Isaiah Likely (knee/groin), tight end Chris Manhertz (shoulder) and running back Cam Skattebo (shoulder).
All five players went from limited on Thursday to full on Friday. So they’re all good to go for Sunday in Washington.
Meanwhile, the Commanders will have quarterback Jayden Daniels (non-throwing elbow) and won’t have wide receiver Stefon Diggs (hamstring). They listed receiver Terry McLaurin (hamstring) as questionable. He was limited Friday — his first practice action this week.

Sunday in Washington is a huge game for the 3-1 Giants, as they face the 1-3 Commanders.
The Giants can continue to put themselves in great position in the NFC East, ahead of the 2-2 Eagles and 2-3 Cowboys.
But will they have star wide receiver Malik Nabers, who is dealing this week with soreness in his surgically repaired right knee?
Yes.
That was the word Friday from coach John Harbaugh, who said Nabers will be ready to go for this Week 5 showdown. Nabers didn’t practice Wednesday and was limited Thursday.
(Nabers also made it clear this week that he wants the ball a lot more.)
Later Friday, the Giants will release their official final injury report.
As for the Commanders, they will get quarterback Jayden Daniels (non-throwing elbow) back from a two-game absence.
Giants +4.5 point spread is listed at -115 on ProphetX for Sunday’s game versus the Commanders. Also, check out our guide to the best NJ sportsbook promos to shop for odds.
Coach Dan Quinn said one of his top wide receivers, Stefon Diggs, will not be able to play, while another, Terry McLaurin, is trending in the right direction. Both are dealing with hamstring injuries.
Daniels returning this week is not a surprise. It was expected since last week. But how effective will he be, as he tries to grip the ball on a rainy afternoon?
As for McLaurin, he is coming off a one-game absence. And he didn’t practice Wednesday or Thursday this week. So you also have to wonder about his potential effectiveness come Sunday.
Daniels — who is old pals with Nabers from their LSU days — has faced the Giants three times since being drafted second overall in 2024. (The Giants’ coach at the time, Brian Daboll, badly wanted Daniels.)
Daniels is 3-0 against the Giants, with a 107.4 passer rating.
If the Giants can reverse that trend Sunday, they’ll be in great position in their division.
