The Kansas City Chiefs have reportedly looked into bringing back Tyreek Hill this season once he is healthy and available.

Hill was with the Chiefs for six seasons, during which he helped them win one and reach two Super Bowls as their star WR.

Since leaving the team to join the Miami Dolphins, Hill’s career hasn’t been the same, as he has struggled with injuries.

NFL fans have mixed opinions on Tyreek Hill returning to Kansas City Chiefs

Michael Silver of The Athletic reported that the Kansas City Chiefs are interested in signing Tyreek Hill once he becomes healthy again.

Players like Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are open to a reunion, and the Chiefs front office has already reached out to Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, to begin talks for a potential return.

Given the history Hill shares with the Chiefs, fans were understandably a little concerned about the prospect of his return. However, some fans also believe it would be a mistake on the Chiefs’ part.

One fan wrote, “Need to bring him in ASAP during the bye. Whether he’s ready or not. More so to get him in the building, around the guys, familiar with the playbook. Then rest/rehab him till he’s good to go.”

Another fan added, “The league has to be nervous about this potential reunion.”

However, a third fan questioned the move, asking, “I do not understand why teams would want Hill on their team. Is the on-field talent really worth it?”

“The Chiefs absolutely may have reached out, not questioning, but this is 100% what Drew and agents should say even if not true,” wrote a fourth fan, suggesting that it was Hill’s agent putting the story out.

A fifth fan noted that Hill needs to be signed to a very specific contract, noting, “Minimum contract with incentives is the only responsible way to sign him. Not like teams are beating down his door.”

And lastly, one final fan suggested that this possible return was inevitable, writing, “The moment we traded him, I knew he’d be back.”

Hill has struggled with injuries over the last few years, with his stint with the Dolphins not bringing him anywhere close to the success he was hoping to find after leaving the Chiefs.

Last season, Hill played just four games before having season-ending surgery. After yet another disappointing year, the Dolphins released him this past February.

While his injury record is certainly a concern, Hill is only 32 years of age and has proven chemistry with Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, and could be a difference-maker for the team.
