Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens have managed to secure another win in the 2026 NFL season. The team has achieved the third win of the season, with a 24-18 victory over the Tennessee Titans. This has brought their record to three wins and one loss so far.

While fans will be happy with the win, they are also concerned for Jackson. He sustained an injury during the game, and an update has been shared.

NFL insider delivers injury update on Lamar Jackson

Jackson is scheduled to undergo an MRI on his left ankle Monday, according to ESPN senior NFL insider Adam Schefter. The quarterback exited the Titans game in the second half and left M&T Bank Stadium wearing a protective walking boot.

The injury itself occurred late in the first half on the final offensive snap before intermission. Titans defensive end Jermaine Johnson II sacked Jackson from behind, with Johnson’s body weight landing on the outside of Jackson’s left ankle, causing it to roll awkwardly. Jackson limped to the sideline, was designated questionable to return, and did not play after halftime.

At the time of the injury, Jackson had completed 15 of 20 passes for 222 yards and two touchdowns while adding 20 rushing yards on two carries. Backup Tyler Huntley finished the game, completing 8 of 9 passes for 63 yards as the Ravens failed to score in the second half.

Initial assessments on the injury are varied. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Jackson is believed to be day-to-day, while Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio indicated the quarterback is week-to-week pending MRI results that will assess potential ligament damage. His MRI results will determine when the player will make a return. Ravens head coach Jesse Minter also talked about the player’s injury.

After the game, Minter addressed Jackson’s injury and revealed what he knows about it so far. He admitted that he does not know much about it, and will have to wait for more information to come out.

He said, “Yeah, he was just dealing with a little bit of an ankle, we hope. I don’t know enough about it right now. But we’ll have to see where that’s at. But again, thought Snoop [Huntley] came in and ran the operation in a way that allowed us to get the win which is most important. And so we’ll see where that’s at.” Minter also added that “there was some talk” for Jackson to rejoin the game.

It remains to be seen what new developments occur in Lamar Jackson’s case.
