With the win, Alabama officially extended their current winning streak over Mississippi State to 17-straight games, a span which dates back to 2008.

In Starkville, Alabama claimed an early lead following a strong start Saturday afternoon, and continued that success on both sides of the ball in order to roll to a big ranked win. As a result, the Crimson Tide remain undefeated at 5-0, and add a road win over a ranked Mississippi State team to their resume.

Keelon Russell impressive yet again

In a matchup where the talk going in was about the quarterback matchup of Keelon Russell vs. Kamario Taylor, it was the Alabama signal caller who impressed most Saturday afternoon. Russell, who did not play in the game's final 10 minutes, finished 16-of-22 passing for 285 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 16 yards and a score on five attempts.

Trae'shawn Brown leads big day on ground

The Alabama ground game enjoyed a big showing altogether as the result of the Crimson Tide offensive line owning the line of scrimmage throughout the game, racking up 181 total yards with four touchdowns, as well as an average of five yards per rush. Trae'shawn Brown, a true freshman, led the way with 66 yards and two touchdown on 14 attempts.

Alabama defense continues turnover success
