Schlotterbeck a doubt for Klopp's Germany after ankle injury

Germany defender Nico Schlotterbeck was taken for a scan on his right ankle after going down during a final training session before Thursday's Nations League match against Serbia.
Wednesday's scare for new coach Jürgen Klopp came during a lively warm-up at the start of the session. The Borussia Dortmund defender, only just fit after a similar injury at the World Cup, suddenly lay on the ground and held his hands to his face.

The German Football Federation said he was driven straight to an MRI for a precise examination.
Schlotterbeck had been a candidate for the captain's armband against Serbia because Joshua Kimmich is no longer part of the squad for the second week. The list of 44 players was split into two squads to allow Klopp to better get to know his new players.
Before and during Klopp's debut in the Netherlands last week (1-1), Jamal Musiala and Kai Havertz suffered muscle injuries.
Together with goalkeeper Jonas Urbig, who is set to make his Germany debut at his home stadium in Munich on Thursday, Klopp will speak to reporters later and is expected to give an update on Schlotterbeck.
Germany are already under pressure in their Nations League group after the 1-0 defeat by Greece on Sunday.
