Florida football survived its biggest test of the 2026 campaign so far with a 52-28 victory over the Ole Miss Rebels inside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Saturday night. Don't look now, but this year's edition of the Fighting Gators might be special.

Jon Sumrall's squad fell just two yards shy of cracking the 500-yard mark on offense while the defense was robust enough to keep Heisman Trophy frontrunner Trinidad Chambliss in check and the special teams had some standout performances of their own.
