Kansas State injury updates: Latest on Jaron Tibbs, Will Anciaux

CINCINNATI — Kansas State football coach Collin Klein couldn't provide any updates on either of the two offensive starters who exited the game during the Wildcats' 31-26 loss at Cincinnati.
Jaron Tibbs and Will Anciaux both left the game after catches on the team's first and second offensive drives, respectively.

"I haven't gotten the final update," Klein said. "We need a little more information, I think, before I even know what their future for the next couple of weeks will look like."
Tibbs, the Wildcats' leading receiver, was helped off the field with 7:55 left in the first quarter. Trainers attended to him after a video review, and he was helped off the field. Derrick Salley Jr. played in his place, catching seven passes for 140 yards, a touchdown and a lost fumble.
Anciaux, one of three tight ends who contribute heavily to the Wildcats' offense, left during the second quarter after being tackled following a long gain that was negated by a penalty. Anciaux needed a cart to get back to the locker room after he made it to the sideline.
Kansas State will have another week to get healthy as it heads into an idle week before hosting Houston at Bill Snyder Family Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 10.
The Wildcats have been dealing with a handful of injuries, particularly at quarterback, though not for starter Avery Johnson. The team's three backups were listed on the team's injury report all week, though two were available for the game.
"We gotta deal with it," Klein said. "I think this bye week comes at a good time."
