‘Just say the word’-Ndamukong Suh gives Josh Allen the answer he wanted on Bills return

Ndamukong Suh has given Josh Allen the answer he was waiting for after the Buffalo Bills quarterback made a surprise pitch for the former defensive tackle to come out of retirement.

Allen raised the idea during an interview with Suh, suggesting the veteran could help Buffalo strengthen its run defence as the Bills push towards the playoffs.
Suh initially played along with the idea, but his latest response went a step further. The former Detroit Lions star directly addressed Allen and Bills Mafia in a video shared on social media.

Suh did not exactly close the door on a comeback.
“Yo Josh, you really want me to come out of retirement? I’m ready to put that work in,” Suh said.
“Just say the word, and I’m there. Playoff time, baby. Bills Mafia, let’s go.”
He also added the caption: “What’s good Bills Mafia??”
The exchange began during a Sky Sports interview posted on September 25, when Allen made his pitch before the conversation had properly started.
“Well, how about you just put on a jersey for us and stop the run?” Allen said.
Suh joked that nobody had previously invited him before suggesting he would be open to the idea.
“Nobody’s invited me,” Suh said. “I’ve always had to be against you guys versus with you. But I’d love to, man.”
He then referenced Aaron Donald’s comeback speculation, adding: “They can pull me out of retirement like AD. Let’s do it.”
Allen responded by joking that he would show the conversation to Bills general manager Brandon Beane.
Suh officially retired in July 2025 after a 13-year career that included stops with the Lions, Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Rams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Philadelphia Eagles. He last played during the 2022 season and finished with 600 tackles and 71.5 sacks in 199 regular-season games.
A return would therefore mean Suh stepping back onto an NFL field after almost four years away from regular-season action. For now, though, Allen has received the response he wanted.
“Playoff time, baby.”
