The quarterback debate at the Cleveland Browns was silenced last weekend after Deshaun Watson led his side to victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Todd Monken made the decision to roll with Watson despite the controversy that decision naturally created.

Shedeur Sanders has been forced to watch from the sidelines in the hope that he will get his opportunity to impress Monken.
That opportunity won’t come this weekend – unless Watson sustains an injury – given the Browns head into their game against the Carolina Panthers on the back of their first victory of the year.
However, former Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry has admitted not playing could actually be the best thing for Sanders.

Landry spent a number of years with the Cleveland Browns before he headed off to join the New Orleans Saints.
Although he has never played with Sanders, Landry actually believes that the sophomore year quarterback could benefit from not playing under Monken.
“Thing is, no matter who you put back there if it’s Shedeur, if it’s Deshaun, if it’s whoever, it’s not going to be successful right now,” Landry said on the Up & Adams Show.
“They’re still kind of figuring it out. I think for Shedeur’s career, I would love to see him continue on the trajectory that he was on, as opposed to just being thrown in there while they’re figuring it out, if you know what I mean.”
Following their Week Two victory over the Bucs, the Browns are riding high, but it could very easily all come crashing down again this weekend if they were to lose against Carolina.
There is no doubt that Sanders will be frustrated as he watches on from the sidelines, but this could be the best place for him as the Browns find their feet under the new system.
Sanders has been named as a potential option for the New York Giants, which seems unlikely given the Browns’ long-term uncertainty at QB.
