Ohio State football downgrades Phillip Daniels, Zion Grady to doubtful vs Illinois

Ohio State could be without starting right tackle Phillip Daniels and defensive end Zion Grady for its Big Ten opener against Illinois on Sept. 26.

The Buckeyes downgraded both Daniels and Grady to doubtful on the availability report released one day ahead of kickoff.
Daniels and Grady went down with unspecified injuries in their loss at Texas two weeks ago and were sidelined against Kent State last week. They had been listed as questionable on previous availability reports.
The Buckeyes reconfigured the right side of the offensive line while Daniels was out against the Golden Flashes with Siereveld sliding over to tackle and Gabe VanSickle stepping in for Siereveld at guard. Qua Russaw was the starting defensive end for Grady.
The latest availability report did point to the potential debut of wide receiver Kyle Parker as he was upgraded to probable.
Parker, who transferred to Ohio State from LSU in January, has not appeared in a game due to an unspecified injury. He caught 31 passes for 330 yards and four touchdowns with the Tigers last season.
