Singleton entered the weekend listed as questionable after dealing with an ankle injury that has sidelined the senior for two weeks. His status was one of the biggest questions surrounding Florida's offense as Jon Sumrall and company prepared for their first home game against a ranked opponent this season.
The Georgia Tech transfer has quickly established himself as an important piece of the Gators' passing attack under first-year offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner. Prior to signing with UF, Singleton was the No. 1 wideout and No. 5 overall player in the transfer portal according to 247 Sports. This offseason, he was named one of college football's top WRs by The Athletic and heralded as a coveted prospect in the 2027 NFL Draft.
Amid pregame warmups against Ole Miss, Florida lists Eric Singleton Jr. as a starter, along with Vernell Brown III, Micah Mays and Dallas Wilson.

Having Singleton available gives Florida another weapon to bolster its already potent offense. The Gators rank top five in offensive production through three weeks, posting over 50 points per game. In Singleton's absence, it's been Vernell Brown III leading the team in both receptions (14) and receiving yards (246). Singleton was projected to be the team's leading pass catcher coming into the season.
Singleton was hurt on Florida's opening drive against Florida Atlantic and has not taken a snap since.
