Former Spartans connect for pair of TDs in Raiders win vs. Harbaugh, Chargers

It was the Spartans on Sunday afternoon that propelled the Las Vegas Raiders to a big-time victory over the Jim Harbaugh-led Los Angeles Chargers.

Former Michigan State quarterback Kirk Cousins connected with former Michigan State wide receiver Cody White for a pair of touchdowns to help the Raiders knock off the Chargers on Sunday. These were only the second and third touchdown receptions of White's professional career, while Cousins has been around the league for quite sometime and thrown hundreds of touchdown passes.

The first touchdown play between the Spartans came in third quarter from 13 yards out to push the Raiders ahead of the Chargers, 17-14. Cousins and White would connect again from 11 yards out in the fourth quarter to essentially clinch the win for the Raiders.

Cousins finished the game with 253 passing yards and three touchdowns to only one interception. White ended the game with only the two touchdown receptions for 24 yards.

With the win, the Raiders have improved to 2-0 on the season. Hopefully, Cousins and White can keep up this good mojo and maybe Las Vegas could surprise some folks in the AFC West this year.
