Watson gets Tampa Bay after an opener that fell apart almost immediately, and he checks in 24th among quarterbacks in PFN’s Week 2 rankings. His garbage-time strike to Denzel Boston inflated a line you can’t count on. I don’t really think it matters who is taking snaps for this team, and I’m sending low-ball offers for Harold Fannin instead.

Watson completed his first two passes of the season … and then it looked like the train wreck we all expected.

His numbers were inflated by a garbage-time bomb to Denzel Boston, but that’s nothing you can count on, and the clock seems to be ticking on his status as the QB1 in Cleveland and maybe his NFL career as a whole.
For the record, I don’t really think it matters for us, at the quarterback position at least, who is taking snaps for this team. There isn’t enough upside, and there is far too much depth at the position for that player to matter in single QB formats.
That said, my thoughts on the rookie receivers and even more so on Harold Fannin will change in a meaningful way should we get an infusion of youth into this offense.

I’m sending low-ball offers for Fannin this week with the thought being that his connection with Shedeur Sanders last season is more predictive of his future value than the mess of a situation that he is currently stuck in.
