Cam Whitmore is now a Denver Nugget.

The former Houston Rockets first-round pick signed with Denver on Friday afternoon, according to NBA insider Shams Charania. Whitmore only played 21 games with the Washington Wizards last season before he was ruled out indefinitely with deep vein thrombosis in his right shoulder.

The 22-year-old was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Peyton Watson deal and was waived days later before Denver picked him up.

Houston drafted Whitmore with the 20th overall pick in the 2023 NBA draft, ending his slide after he was widely expected to go in the lottery. Over two seasons with the Rockets, Whitmore played in 98 games, averaging 10.8 points and 3.4 rebounds per game while shooting 44.9 percent from the field and 35.7 percent from deep.

Last July, the Rockets traded Whitmore to the Wizards for two second-round picks.
