Sam Darnold injury update: Seahawks QB exits early in Patriots game

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold exited Wednesday night's home opener against the New England Patriots after getting injured on a sack during the team's first drive.

After Darnold got taken to the ground, he left the field with a limp and soon went for a medical evaluation in the blue tent. Backup quarterback Drew Lock entered the game for Darnold, with the latter heading back to the locker room.

The team later said Darnold had a hip injury and was questionable to return.

This would obviously be a huge blow for the Seahawks if he was later ruled out. We'll keep you updated on what we hear.

We'll see what happens next with Darnold and if he's able to return.
