Serena and Venus Williams will play their US Open women’s doubles first-round match on Friday, September 4, at 7 p.m. ET at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

The pair will face the 14th-seeded team of Chan Hao-ching of Taiwan and Maya Joint of Australia.
It is the first time the sisters have played together at the US Open since 2022. They have won two doubles titles at Flushing Meadows, in 1999 and 2009, and hold a 27-7 record in doubles there.
Both arrive with different stories this year. Venus lost her first-round singles match to Sofia Kenin in the early hours of Monday morning, her 26th singles appearance at the tournament.
Serena, meanwhile, made a surprise return to tennis this summer after nearly four years away.

The sisters were knocked out in the first round of the Cincinnati Open last month, and Serena also teamed up with Carlos Alcaraz in mixed doubles at the Open last week, reaching the quarter-finals.
Friday’s match is a night session, with the Williamses entered as a wild card.
