REPORT: Oklahoma WR Parker Livingstone available to play against UTEP
· Yahoo Sports
The Oklahoma Sooners received some good news just hours ahead of Friday night’s opener against the University of Texas at El Paso Miners. Transfer wide receiver Parker Livingstone has been cleared to play and will be available for Oklahoma against UTEP, according to a report from ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
Livingstone’s status remained unknown, with a “questionable” designation ahead of the season opener, as he’s been in concussion protocol. Now, the 6-foot-3, 200-pound wide receiver is set to make his debut and could provide a big target for quarterback John Mateer.

Livingstone turned heads this offseason when he chose to cross the Red River and transfer to the Sooners from longtime rival, the Texas Longhorns. He arrived in Norman with three more years of eligibility remaining and a real chance to start for the Sooners.

A redshirt freshman for Texas in 2025, Livingstone caught 29 passes for 516 yards and six touchdowns for the 'Horns this past season.
It’s a timely development for Mateer and an Oklahoma offense that now gets its first opportunity to see what Livingstone can provide in a Sooners uniform. Oklahoma may not need everyone to be healthy to take down UTEP. But Livingstone’s availability allows the offense to get more of a rhythm with the key starters as the season gets underway.
